His mark made, Chris pulls away to litter kisses on Kim's jaw and then up to a chaste few on his cheeks and forehead. "That's just fine...I'm happy to take what you offer, expertly done or inexpertly crafted...it'll still be you which is all that matters to me."
He pulls back a touch, his hands settling at Kim's hips to keep him close. "I'll tell you a secret as well...afore coming here, I had far less practice than I pretend. I was...a bad boyfriend...what I have to offer is what I've learned through time here alone, so we'll parse it together, yeah?"
The chaste, sweet kisses to his forehead and cheeks take on a further dimension than others offered to him by Chris before, now that they've made this decision, and Kim feels his heart flutter in an almost overwhelming way.
"Together. That sounds good, yes." It's his turn to kiss Chris' cheek, smiling after he pulls back. "...I know it's early, but do you want to get a drink?"
It feels like something they should celebrate, though it doesn't have to be right now.
"Or, I should say, can I get you a drink? Considering my easy access to alcohol."
There's a small release of tension in him with that simple question. The part of him that worries something will snap or Kim might suddenly go back on what he's said so far easing into a peaceful comfort instead. They were still them, just...a bit more.
A better turn from the silly man who'd cried each time he'd confessed his emotions just a couple years back. Thank gods Kim hadn't known him then.
"I'd like nothing better, My dearest Mr. Secretan. That and a few more kisses, I think, will be a lovely afternoon."
