Fuck if I know. It could have been. Time flies when you're trapped in a bizarre sex driven nightmare society with no respect for your personhood, now doesn't it?
Oh, it was to size a fitted toy. I supposed that would be a very awkward item to try and return if I estimated incorrectly, so better to simply ask.
Should we ever stumble across one another, I'm going to ask you how to pronounce that.
Trevor Belmont. And I can actually say it's a pleasure to 'meet' you, despite their very annoying methods. Or mistakes? At the moment I'd almost believe this was a genuine error.
I'm glad to hear I didn't make an awful first impression. And I'm willing to believe it might be an error. Though they do seem to like throwing us at one another.
Perhaps not. Two possibilities came to mind immediately when I read it, but it could just as easily be a third that I hadn't considered.
They really do, and to be clear I'm only willing now because it wouldn't be the only citywide service struggling at the moment. Hope you're doing alright, to that end?
More or less alright. My household more or less survived the lack of electricity. It's honestly somewhat of a recent development where I'm from and two of the other inhabitants are from a world entirely without it.
And our fourth can do magic. (Well. So can one of the others, really, but I don't know if it's RELEVANT magic.)
Most I've met seem well acquainted with the level of technology here. A handful who weren't said it was more akin to their world's past, which makes me think there's a decent spread in either direction of advancement... but usually it's less that folks are from a similar world's past than theirs are very magical. More so than mine. It gets a bit complicated.
My partner is half-vampire, half-human. He can see in the darkness quite well.
Lucky for your world. They're quite terrible in ours, with few exceptions... and as I understand it that's largely because the terrible ones slaughtered the rest.
Make no mistake, most of them here are capable of being quite fearsome when they want to be. But they are not monsters on account of their species, like I was accustomed to. Several have become dear friends.
Not that I think the program would stand for a LIER attempting interspecies genocide, in the long run? They might enjoy the show for a weekend but trust me; it gets old.
If nothing else it must be an awful lot of work resurrecting dead people just as they were. Whatever their method to do so may be, I can't imagine they'd want to expend so many resources because of one or two assholes.
I've argued as much myself, but the line seems to land somewhere different for everyone. What we consider practical or realistic is shaped by how dramatically shitty our lives have been, I suppose.
But if I'm going to ask after yours, I should really buy you a drink.

...I would hope it's changed, sir.

I'm positive it has.
[Smartass.]
Probing question for probing question: What did you do with the measurement you asked for?

And that was probably wise. Although I doubt you'd have shocked the owner of whatever establishment you bought it from.

Also for the record, my name is Kim Secretan.
[May as well be polite, while they're talking about cock girths and the toys that go around them.]

Yourself?

Personally I might have struggled a bit more if not for my seeing eye dhampir.

I wonder how many of us in Duplicity are less used to it versus the ones who are.
I don't think I'm familiar with the term dhampir.
[Folk tales are not something Kim has ever particularly familiarized himself with.]

...I wasn't aware that was a possibility. Mind, I'm fairly certain vampires are only a myth where I come from.

Far more personable selection around these parts.

I would have expected them to be far more fearsome.

But no, I think you're correct. They may not have MUCH regard for us, but I doubt the powers that be would allow for our indiscriminate slaughter.

I would have said that statement was practical, not cynical.

I'm the manager (and currently sole employee) of the Spread Eagle in the Down.
Come by sometime if you'd like.
