He doesn't pull away from the embrace, even as that odd glass-like feeling persists. He meets Kim's hold with his own...and just a little too tight. There's a tension in his form even as he meets the hug, but by his second breath it eases a bit at a time.

"Perhaps. But it was all I knew. Thank you. And...thank you for not shying from me, even knowing how...how I used to be." If Kim wasn't going to address it, then Chris would. He wouldn't leave that as uncertain ground between them...he couldn't. If it were to change their relationship at all, he'd have it clear and said now rather than found out the hard way later.
